FAQ

Why does the actual ice‑making time take longer than what the manual says?

This sphere ice maker’s cycle time may vary based on room temperature and water temperature. The times in the manual (like 90 minutes) are based on a room temperature of 70°F. Warmer rooms will naturally make the cycle run longer.

Why are ice balls not perfect (uneven, seams, small dents)?

Minor seam lines, small dimples, or slightly flat areas on clear ice spheres are normal results of the molding process. These are just marks from the molding process and do not affect how the ice works or tastes.

Can I plug in and turn on the machine right after delivery?

No. The compressor needs time to settle after shipping. Please let the unit stand upright for 2 to 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle and prevents compressor damage.

What should I do before using this clear ice maker for the first time?

We recommend changing the water, wiping down the inside, or running a Self‑Cleaning cycle. Throw away the first 2 or 3 batches of ice to flush the internal water lines.

Can heat-generating appliances such as ovens or microwaves be placed near the machine?

No. Heat sources will block the machine’s air intake from drawing in cool air and reduce the heat exchange efficiency of the system.

Can I chip away ice buildup inside the machine with a tool?

a. Absolutely not. Manual ice removal is strictly prohibited. b. Please activate the manual defrost/ice release mode. Mechanical tools may puncture the refrigerant lines and ruin the machine.

How often is it recommended to clean the machine? How often should the water be changed?

a. To keep your ice fresh and your ice maker in good condition, we recommend cleaning the machine every day. b. During frequent use, we also recommend changing the water in the system daily to maintain water freshness and the best ice quality. c. When using the machine for the first time, or after it has sat unused for a long period, we strongly suggest running a cleaning cycle before making ice.

I just unboxed the new machine, and inside there's a slight plastic smell or that 'new machine' odor. Is that normal?

This is normal. a. Before using it for the first time, we recommend wiping down the inside of the machine with warm water and a soft cloth. b. we strongly suggest running an auto‑clean cycle before making your first batch of ice. c. Once the cleaning cycle is done, go ahead and discard the first batch of ice, this helps flush out the water lines and get rid of any new‑machine smell.

Are the parts that touch water made from food‑safe materials?

Yes. All water‑contact components (reservoir, mold, basket) meet FDA requirements for food‑grade safety.
